Guidelines and Instructions for Submitting Materials

Each resource will be reviewed to ensure that it meets these criteria and contains no inappropriate messages. Resources may be rejected if their content is found to be objectionable or inappropriate for most tweens and/or school settings.

Please note: Inclusion of resources on this list does not serve as an endorsement of the quality or effectiveness of these materials by the Campaign, any of the Campaign's sponsors or partners, or anyone else involved in the development of the Campaign. This will be explained to visitors using the database. To imply otherwise in promotional materials may result in the removal of resources from the Campaign web site.

For materials to be considered and included in the Bullying Prevention Resource Kit, they must be:

  1. Entered electronically on this web site
  2. Mailed to us for review

How to enter information electronically

To enter information on materials and programs into the Bullying Prevention Resource database, you must first register to obtain a login ID and password to protect any information exchanged with us. We can assist if you forget your login ID but passwords are confidential. To create a new password, go to Forgot Password? on the Login menu.

This feature also allows you to return to this site at any time to submit new materials. Updates can be made to items once finalized by emailing a request to correct, delete, or revise information to info@bullyingresources.org.

Personal contact information will not be posted on the Campaign web site. Only the web address for ordering the resource(s) will be listed or, if unavailable, the publisher's phone number or email will be substituted.

Separate formats are provided for materials (books, pamphlets, CDs, videos etc.) and for programs (i.e., comprehensive programs and curricula that predominately focus on bullying prevention). To enter resources electronically, please go to the appropriate menu and follow the directions provided. Please provide as much of the requested information as is possible. For assistance with difficulties in entering the information, refer to the list of contacts.

Once you have successfully registered and you log in for the first time, you will see a screen that will enable you to submit a bullying prevention resource either as 1) a new book, video, CD-Rom etc., or 2) a new program (i.e., a comprehensive program or curriculum). Please allow sufficient time for each resource to be entered before exiting the Bullying Resource Submissions site. You can be assured of a successful entry when the summary file is shown on your resources (home) page.

Where to mail the materials and programs

Please mail one copy of each resource to:

Dr. Susan Limber
Associate Director
Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life
158 Poole Agricultural Center
Clemson University
Clemson, SC 29634-0132

Once your materials have been received and reviewed, you will be notified by email IF they have been approved for inclusion in the Resource Kit. Any materials mailed for submission to the Bullying Prevention Resource Kit will not be returned. They will be maintained by HRSA contractors for easy reference in the event of questions. (Exceptions will be made for rejected items with postage-paid returns).
